Wedding film types vary greatly from one company to the next, so be sure you know what you want and what you're getting. Nick Laws Videography offers a highlight film that ranges from 5-13 minutes and encapsulates the absolute best moments of your day along with the best dialogue (pre-wedding interviews, vows, toasts, etc). It will feature footage from both bride and groom prep, the ceremony, and reception. Additionally, you'll see lots of great detail shots, establishing shots, dancing footage and shots of all the people who came out to share in your big day. Highlight films are ideal for sharing online with friends and family.

Yes, you’re paying for the unlimited coverage the day of the wedding and the weeks I spend crafting the final film afterwards. But you’re also paying for the years of experience and practice I’ve had making films of all types in all conditions. My expertise in audio and video, creative eye, and professionalism are what set me apart from others. I pride myself in being ready for every situation, rolling with the punches during a wedding day, always getting my shot, and always having a backup. It’s hard to compare videographers because they never get to compete on a level playing field- every wedding is different and a thousand variables throughout the day will impact the final product. But what I would stress to you is consistency. Watch a few films. Was the audio good quality and the right volume? Were all the shots in focus? Was the footage shaky or smooth? Was there a sense of storytelling or did it feel like random video clips put together?

Nick Laws Videography has quick turnaround times for wedding films. Typically films are delivered in six weeks or less. It's not because I'm cutting corners, it's because I'm an efficient and organized editor and I only take a few weddings a year, so I don’t get backed up with work. Wedding films are delivered online. This allows you to view your film on your computer or mobile device, download video files, stream to a Chromecast device or Apple TV, and share with friends around the world.

Although the equipment isn't really what makes a video great (that's my job), you can rest assured I have all the cool toys that will make your film cinematic- 4K, slow motion, drones, gimbals, sliders, etc. I use small, high quality mirrorless cameras that allow me to keep a low profile while still producing an extremely high quality image that excels in any lighting condition. During ceremonies I use 4 cameras with long lenses that allow me to get close without actually being distracting. I will also provide lavaliere (small clip on) mics to capture loud, clean audio during the ceremony and reception.

There are a few optional add-ons for things that are important to you. You can get separate videos of the full ceremony or dances and toasts. You can get a short teaser trailer. And now I also offer live streaming of wedding ceremonies, either as an add-on to a wedding film package or as a standalone service. Every wedding is unique, so if there are things you want that aren't shown above, just let me know. A $250 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your wedding date. Weddings outside of the CSRA may require additional travel expenses.
